Mandatory Documents For Solemnization

Original documents along with 2 sets of self-attested photocopies must be produced at our center.

1. Proof of Legal Age

Statutory legal age is strictly enforced under Indian law. The Groom must be 21+ years old, and the Bride must be 18+ years old.

  • 10th Class Passing Certificate / Board Marksheet
  • School Transfer Certificate (T.C.) with Date of Birth
  • Municipal Birth Certificate (Govt. issued) or Passport
*Medical certificates or self-affidavits of age are strictly NOT acceptable.

2. Identity & Address Proof

Clear verification of residential domicile and identity for both bride and groom to prevent impersonation or fraudulent records.

  • Aadhaar Card (Mandatory for both parties)
  • Jan Aadhaar Card: Mandatory ONLY for Rajasthan residents (Not required for couples from other states)
  • Voter ID Card / Driving License / Electricity Bill

3. Passport-Size Photographs

Recent, clear color photographs required for Samiti records, ceremonial certificate affixing, and municipal register entries.

  • 8 passport-size photographs of Groom
  • 8 passport-size photographs of Bride
  • 2 joint photographs (captured during ceremony at Samiti)
*Must be taken against a plain light background.

4. Witnesses Criteria

Presence of 4 adult witnesses is a vital legal requirement for solemnization and municipal registration under Rajasthan law.

  • 4 adult witnesses (aged 18+ years)
  • Original Govt Photo IDs (Aadhaar / Voter ID) of each witness
  • 2 passport-size photographs of each witness
*Parents, relatives, or friends may serve as witnesses; parental presence is welcomed but not legally mandated for consenting adults.

5. Sworn Affidavits

Duly notarized joint or individual affidavits confirming marital eligibility, mental fitness, and free voluntary consent.

  • Declaration of single status / unmarried status
  • Confirmation of not being within prohibited degrees of relationship (Sapinda)
  • Anti-dowry statement affirming zero demand
*Drafts can be prepared at our center notary desk.

6. Special Circumstances

Applicable only if either party was previously married or holds foreign/NRI status. Full documentary transparency is mandatory.

  • If Divorced: Certified copy of Court Decree of Divorce & Full Court Decision/Judgment
  • If Widowed: Certified Death Certificate of deceased spouse
  • If Foreign National: No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Embassy + Valid Visa

Legal Requirements & Municipal Registration Notice

Notice pursuant to Supreme Court directives and Rajasthan Law

All parties must be aware that religious solemnization performed at Adarsh Arya Samaj Vivah Samiti is legally valid under the Arya Marriage Validation Act, 1937 and Section 7 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

However, to obtain the statutory Government Marriage Certificate (necessary for passport updates, VISA applications, bank accounts, and government records), the marriage must be registered with the local Registrar of Marriages / Municipal Corporation (Jaipur Nagar Nigam). Our Samiti facilitates this process by issuing the verified Marriage Certificate, Photographs, and Priest Affidavit required by the Registrar.
