Important Demarcation: The Marriage Certificate issued by our Samiti certifies the religious and traditional solemnization of the wedding. In compliance with the Hon'ble Supreme Court directives (Seema vs. Ashwani Kumar) and the Rajasthan Compulsory Registration of Marriages Act, all couples are strongly guided and assisted to register their marriage with the local municipal authority (Jaipur Nagar Nigam or District Registrar of Marriages) to obtain the statutory Government Marriage Certificate.

Yes. Arya Samaj marriages are legally recognized under the Arya Marriage Validation Act, 1937 and Section 7 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. After solemnization, couples are issued a ceremonial certificate, which serves as conclusive proof of solemnization when registering for the official government certificate at the Nagar Nigam.
Arya Samaj has been a pioneer in breaking caste barriers since 1875. Inter-caste marriages are wholeheartedly solemnized. In cases where either bride or groom belongs to another religion, they may willingly embrace Vedic traditions through voluntary Shuddhi (Vedic conversion) as per Arya Samaj tenets prior to the solemnization.
Under current rules, exactly 4 adult witnesses (aged 18+) with original government photo IDs and 2 passport-size photographs each are required. Parents, relatives, colleagues, or friends may serve as witnesses. While parental blessings and presence are warmly encouraged, parental presence is not legally mandated for consenting adult citizens of legal age.
The complete ceremony, including Swasti Vachan, Havan/Yajna, Saptapadi, Pratigya Patra, and photograph documentation, typically takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Document verification is completed before the ceremony commences.
